Shouldn’t you be spending a bit of time every day trying to shape your own future?

“The future is not some place we are going, but one we are creating. The paths are not to be found, but made. And the activity of making them changes both the maker and the destination.”
John H. Schaar

It’s a curious paradox, that a life in flux, where the future seems uncertain every single day, can yield these little nuggets of comforting insight.

As part of my weekly challenge learning how to promote this blog I read this nice piece by Darren Rowse over at ProBlogger about how to become a full time blogger.

It doesn’t matter if you’re interested in the subject really, the point remains the same for all of us, and the Schaar quote above encapsulates it: don’t wait for the future to happen, start making your own future, and for goodness sake start NOW.

I’m a writer now, and a blogger, and a life hacker. I created all this out of choice. Just saying those things aloud makes the future seem more attainable. Go on, shape your own future, it is hard at first but it feels great!
